What it does
Muni Tracker finds the Muni stops within a few blocks of you and lists the next two arrivals for each nearby route. It uses real time predictions when they are available and falls back to the published schedule when they are not, and it says which one you are looking at. Everything is on one screen.
- Finds the Muni stops within 400 meters of you and names the nearest one, with an estimated walk time.
- Lists up to six nearby routes, each with direction (IB or OB), destination, its own nearest stop, and the next two arrival times.
- Marks data it does not trust. Stale predictions, scheduled times and a lost connection each show plainly in the header instead of passing for live times.
- Shows the time and current weather for your area in the header.
- Tap to refresh. Hold to pin the nearest stop so the list stops reordering while you walk. The glasses menu filters by direction (All, Outbound, Inbound) and lists up to four nearby stops to pin.
- Shows the same arrivals, uncapped, on a companion screen on your phone.
Requirements
Even Realities G2 glasses and the Even Realities app, version 2.2.9 or newer. Location permission for the Even Realities app, and an internet connection through your phone. Arrivals cover SF Muni stops only, so it works in San Francisco only.
Changelog
- 0.7.0
Hold to pin the nearest stop, so the list stops reordering as you walk. Pinning sends no request. The glasses menu now also lists up to four nearby stops, and choosing one pins it. The header is split into two lines with separate brightness, and when data goes stale the warning becomes the brightest thing on screen. The screen no longer redraws underneath an open menu.
- 0.6.3
A direction filter on the glasses menu: All, Outbound or Inbound. It filters arrivals already on hand, so it costs no extra requests, and the header shows which filter is on. Fixed menu open and close events being read backwards, which would have paused updates on every menu close. Needs Even Realities app 2.2.9 or newer.
- 0.6.2
The list is capped at six routes, so the once a minute redraw costs at most one swipe back down. When the cap hides routes, the header says so, for example 6 of 9 routes. The phone screen still lists every route.
- 0.6.1
A tap is ignored while a refresh is already running, so an impatient second tap cannot send a duplicate request or roll the screen back to older data.
