PennyOS Mobile
The pocket one. Eighteen apps on a black and white screen, and nothing to steal.

What it does
PennyOS Mobile is the pocket build: a palm sized Linux handheld with a thumb keyboard, eighteen apps on one 400 by 240 black and white screen, and your own server doing the work. The device holds no service credential.
- Eighteen apps, one letter each.
- Works offline. Notes, Journal, the wiki mirror and every cached page read with the radio off.
- Ask runs Claude Code inside your Obsidian vault on your own server and draws the answer as it streams.
- Mail tokens and search keys stay on your server, behind a gate that runs a short list of fixed commands.
- The card is encrypted and asks for a PIN at every boot.
- Four Home themes: grid, os8, win95 and terminal. Motion in each.
Requirements
A palm sized Linux handheld with a 400 by 240 memory LCD and a thumb keyboard, a 16 GB card, and an always on Mac or Linux server over SSH holding an Obsidian vault. Source by request.
Changelog

The server's trip tool opens only plain files inside the vault's entities folder.
- 0.49.5
The server's gate hands the console token to curl on stdin, so it never shows in a process list.
- 0.49.4
Search sends a plain User-Agent and names no tool.
- 0.49.2
Journal pushes land in the server's private folder.
