Drive-By terms
The terms for this website and the Drive-By service. Effective 14 October 2026.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to this website and to the Drive-By service, including the phone page its frame's QR code opens. By using either you agree to them.
2. One household's project
Drive-By is a personal project running in one home. It is not a product, not for sale, not for download, and no part of it is offered for you to install. The source is not published. This site describes it.
3. The phone page
Anyone who can scan the frame's code can open the phone page. You may use it to tap to listen, start auto listen, choose what the frame shows, and look at the songs heard before. You agree not to overload it, to script it beyond the one Shortcut it describes, to pass its link on, or to use it to listen to anyone on purpose. The owner may change the code at any time, which closes the page for everyone who had it.
4. Third-party services
Drive-By uses Apple's Shazam, AudD, Spotify, Apple Music, MusicBrainz and Cloudflare. Each is governed by its own terms, and each can be wrong, late or unavailable. A song can be misnamed. Verify anything that matters.
5. No warranty
The website and the service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy and uninterrupted operation.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the owner is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or goodwill, arising from the website or the service, even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid, which is zero.
7. Trademarks
Drive-By is not affiliated with Apple, Shazam, Spotify, AudD, MusicBrainz or Cloudflare. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners.
8. Changes
These terms may change when the service does. The effective date above is the date of the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
